Development programs for artists, creative and cultural entrepreneurs who are ambitious and want to create a better business behind their talent.
As a participant in Ovation, you’ll be guided step by step in developing both your commercial skills and your ability to develop, test, and implement a business model for your artistic or creative practice. We place great emphasis on ensuring that you work actively with your own case, and all teaching is centered around you and your project.
The learning approach is based on a ‘reverse classroom’ model, which means that much of the teaching takes place through preparation between sessions. You and your fellow participants actively take part in the sessions by presenting your work to the group and receiving feedback and input.
This method requires that you, as a participant, are motivated, present during workshops, and, of course, well-prepared — both to develop your own project in the best possible way and to contribute meaningfully to the rest of the group.
There is a participant fee of DKK 1560 + VAT.
If you are a team of two or more, the fee is per person.
What does the program consist of?
Competency program (online)
A 6–8 week competency and development program consisting of 10 online workshops, with 1:1 mentoring offered between sessions.
You’ll receive step-by-step guidance in developing your business model — and, most importantly, an action plan for how to move forward.
Mentoring program (online)
When the competency program ends, you’ll be assigned to a mentor group together with 3–5 of your fellow participants. The group meets online approximately every three weeks.
The mentor group meetings are facilitated by a mentor during the first four sessions, after which they will transition into a peer-support group managed independently.
Networking events + Community
Physical networking events are held regularly across the country, giving you the opportunity to meet and connect with participants from your own and other Ovation cohorts. These events include relevant professional presentations.
In addition, monthly online community events are offered in the form of educational webinars and inspirational talks.
Online toolbox
As a participant, you’ll have free access (also after completing the program) to an online toolbox that intuitively and easily helps you structure the development of your business.
Here, you can work on your business model, create goal plans, and prepare your budget, among other things.
